Roberto and Blanca Mondragon -- We work in our home, Catacamas, Honduras. We have worked here for many years, beginning a number of local churches and working with the Children's Home run by Christian Relief Fund. Prayer Requests: 1) Pray for the Children's Home 2) Pray for our desire establish a kindergarten, establish a complete medical clinic and have a bus to transport members that live far away from church and open it to groups in different subdivisions or neighborhoods in Catacamas.

Luis, Schalee, Alicia Sánchez -- We are on the mission field in Le Ceiba, Honduras in Central America. We are working with the youth at a local church in the community. Prayer Requests: 1) Pray that personal Bible studies with non-Christians and new converts will continue to be Spirit led and fruitful. 2) Pray for the success of a mini-medical campaign to be held each Saturday morning during the month of October. It is to attend the medical needs of poor families. 3) Pray for the men's retreat to be held Oct. 27th. 4) Pray for the continued health of Schalee and the baby (it's a girl!). Judith Alexander -- I am on the mission field in Hitachi-Taga, Japan. Prayer Request: As my two-year commitment to missions with Taga church was completed at the end of August, I want to share my plans. I have a vision to continue working in missions in Japan through planting churches while focusing on campus ministry and discipleship training. Some possible teammates and I have set a goal of coming together in the spring of 2009 to start this work. Until then, I have been asked by the three churches of Christ in Hitachi to stay and serve as the city’s Campus/Youth Minster. This is the area that God has led me to in the last 2 years and which most naturally suits me. During the student vacations, I plan to take students on mission trips or short-term internship programs in different parts of Japan and Asia. In preparation for the work starting in 2009, I would like to learn about resources and networks in different Asian churches and hope to share those experiences with the young people around me. I would like to thank you for choosing to be a part of this work through your prayers, emails, encouragement and financial support. Without you this work would not be possible.
