I want to thank you for attending the June Weekend for Women (see the schedule here). What an exceptional experience! We have received feedback that indicated a positive experience for all that responded. I would like you to complete the enclosed feedback sheet, if you haven’t already, and turn it into the information center at either campus. Place your response in the large envelope marked “Lost and Found”. Thank you so much as this will help us develop the next Weekend for Women in October.

In October the theme will be “Unleashed!” I would like you to add on the bottom of the feedback sheet your impression of the October theme. What comes to your mind when you hear the word, unleashed? If you were unleashed, how would you be different? What are the dangers of being unleashed? What are the benefits of being unleashed? I am suggesting that we hold back. What if we didn’t?

The auction was a grand success! With only 52 women in the room, the Lord blessed the Touch A Life Foundation with $2,500. If you donated any items for the auction, please find enclosed a letter of receipt from The Branch for tax exempt purposes. Pam Cope expressed her appreciation and suggested this money help with the supplies needed to facilitate the Art Camp that will be taking place this summer in Ghana.

Don’t forget to pick up a Brag Book if you were unable to contribute at the auction. For a cash donation you can take this charming collection of pictures of the rescued children and Pam Cope’s family home with you as a reminder to pray over their efforts as they partner with orphanages in Viet Nam, Cambodia and Ghana. Set the book where your entire family can see it. Donation suggestion: $10.

I hope you are enjoying your CD of Esther as read by Suzi Wollman. This story is an example of what can happen when an orphan is taken in and given godly guidance. We will begin our study of Esther by Beth Moore in September. In the October Weekend for Women we will consider the process of being unleashed and how to proceed with God’s favor, using Esther as our example.

Thanks again to all the ladies who shared their adoption stories with us: Amy Woods, Pam Cope, Nita Masih, Katy Boisvert, Kendra Rosenbaum and Lanae Rainey (more about the speakers here). Keep these ladies in your prayers as they walk out the next chapters of their adoption stories.

Please, find enclosed a deeper study of “adoption” as experienced by those of us who have received Christ and continue to believe we are heirs with Him as “sons” of God. Take some time this summer to read the references and let the Spirit open up your heart to God’s design for your eternal inheritance. I hope you will enjoy the foster child’s responses about her foster mom on her Mother’s Day Card (view the card here). Note #8 of her list of things she loves about her mom. Our influence reaches the corners of little souls when we dare to love.
