Living the Prayer means having a passion to live the WILL of God. But how do we know what that will is? What does God want of me? What is His will for my family, our church, our community, our world?
God reveals Himself, His heart, His will, through the scriptures. As disciples of His, we need to be setting aside time everyday to be with Him, to hear Him, to talk to Him. We develop an intimate relationship with Him by spending time with Him. Time praying. Time in the Word. The spirit uses the word to transform our lives in ways we can’t even imagine.
Make 2012 the year that you commit to praying and reading the Bible daily. To help us in that pursuit, we are encouraging everyone at The Branch to follow the “Life Journal Reading Plan”. This reading plan helps you read through the Old Testament once and the New Testament twice through the course of the year. The complete plan can also be found on our website. This is the same plan we used in 2011. If you’ve been on that journey with us, mix it up some by trying a different version in 2012.
