There is a river whose streams make glad...(Psalm 46:4)
Hello Everyone! What a great few days it’s been in the life of our church. We’ve witnessed 23 people confessing the Lordship of Jesus in baptism over the last several days. Some of you witnessed me having the privilege of baptizing my oldest son, Skyler, on Saturday night. Many of you participated in giving him a blessing that night as well. Thank you! And now some news and notes regarding life at The Branch.
NEW SERVICE TIMES EFFECTIVE JUNE 1ST
Beginning June 1st our service times at the Farmers Branch Campus will be at 9 am. and 10:45 am.
Beginning June 1st our service time on Sunday mornings at the Vista Ridge Campus will be at 10:45 am. We will be adding a 9:00 am service in September.
Our service time on Saturday night at Vista Ridge will remain at 6 pm.
LAST WEEKEND
In our series on the creation story of Genesis, we considered God’s vision for the role “vocation” or “work” plays in our lives. Today I had lunch with Will Herring, one of our members, who pointed out to me the research that says we spend 65% of our waking hours in the workplace. If you “work” at home then it’s definitely more! Our vocation, our work, is important to God and He’s in our midst. Be encouraged and get online and listen to the message if you missed it.

We’ll take a few moments to honor our moms at the beginning of all services. We’ll also be spending some time with the river flowing into the garden in Eden. The “river” is quite a theme throughout Scripture, and it’s still “rushing” today. I look forward to us “wading in” this weekend!
Grace and Peace!
